Skilled carpenters can build a more secure future for themselves and their family by joining The Carpenters Union Local 106. Members receive great wages, plus a benefits package that includes health insurance, and a retirement/pension plan.

Members also receive ongoing training and have access to Journeyman upgrade classes, and industry certifications. As a member of Carpenters Local 106, you have access to a wide network of local and national contractors for hiring opportunities. You can get paid for what your skills are worth, and work on the safest worksites in the industry.

There are no limitations to who should or can be a member, because Carpenters Local 106 is non-discriminatory with regard to race and gender. Also, seniority does not determine your success. Advancement and employability is based solely on performance.

There are dues associated with membership, but dues are minimal in comparison to the negotiated wages and benefits that members receive.
